Wireless networks Localization in wireless networks Security Indoor Localization and Navigation of Wheelchair Users Localization indoor is a great challenge. The proposed here localization system consists of the wheelchair, mounted magnets (8 on each wheel), two reed switches (one per wheel), and a Bluetooth mouse. Both reed switches are connected to the mouse buttons. Ones the mouse is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth the proposed system begins to operate. Each time a magnet comes closer to a reed switch a “mouse button is clicked” event occurs. Knowing the diameter of the wheels, the distance that the wheelchair made can be estimated. We get a relative localization. To enhance the provided accuracy, an accelerometer of a smartphone can be used. Recent Publications
